Management of SRF/RDF to Market
The management team at Waste2Resource has been working in the Secondary Recovered Fuel and Refused Derived Fuel markets since 2009. During this time we have seen significant advancements in the market for alternative fuels, with increased demand from mainland European energy from waste operators being matched by UK companies seeking a sustainable and commercially attractive alternative to landfill.
Waste2Resource has been active in the management of alternative fuels in two ways. Firstly, we are working with several UK waste managers and industrial waste producers to route material suitable for SRF/RDF production in these fuel streams. Often, smaller companies are not prepared to invest the capital required to manufacture a refined fuel product themselves, but at the same time want to divert material away from landfill. Waste2Resource fulfills this need by providing a technical assessment of feedstock and brokering suitable materials into dedicated RDF/SRF processors.
We currently have under our management 3,000-5,000 tonnes per month of material and a logical progression for Waste2Resource has been to establish fuel supply contracts directly with waste to energy operators. We have relationships with several European Blue Chip organisations, and are continually adding to our export capacity.
