Germany hosted IFAT, the world’s leading Trade Fair in Water, Sewerage, Waste and Raw Materials Management in Munich between 5th – 9th May. The show takes place every 2 years and attracts on average 125,000 visitors from 180 countries alongside nearly 3000 exhibiting companies from 54 countries.
Waste2Resource is enjoying a growing reputation outside of the UK and specifically in Germany, thanks in the main to its RDF supply contract with Vattenfall, one of Europe’s largest generators of electricity and largest producer of heat.
During the course of the IFAT exhibition, W2R Directors Chris Farmer and Paul Danks, held discussions with representatives from a number of international blue chip Waste Management and Energy Generators that are looking to the UK for feedstock into their facilities. Commenting on the event, Chris Farmer said “IFAT provides an excellent platform to match the supply of alternative fuels derived from waste with the end users. We are very pleased to have secured additional capacity for 2014/15 and look forward to making this available to our UK clients over the coming months”.
