Regain Polymers reward W2R with 2 year Total Waste Management contract extension

Waste2Resource (W2R) began working with Regain Polymers in December 2012 with the remit of reducing waste disposal costs and improving recycling.

RegainREGAIN Polymers is one of the UK’s leading plastic recycling companies with a production capability of 50,000 tonnes of compound per year.  With a proven high level of technical competence, REGAIN Polymers recycles a wide range of rigid plastics, resulting in highly specified recycled compounds and cost effective products which are in turn supplied to global markets.

As a direct result of expert advice, W2R has delivered significant improvements in site waste management practices and cost reduction.  Key contract achievements include:

- Introduction of site wide recycling and waste management system

- 26% reduction in waste spend for 2013

- 74% reduction in dry waste volumes

- 240 waste vehicle movements saved each year

- Increased revenues for recycled materials

- Waste Contractor rationalisation and management
